How to keep the best water quality of goldfish in four seasons
Proper water quality is the key to success in raising goldfish. Only by keeping the water quality stable can the goldfish live a long life and have a beautiful body. The specific methods are as follows:
1. Air water
When the source of water for goldfish breeding is selected, the water is first put into pots, ponds and other containers to dry for 1-2 days (preferably in the open air). This process is called airing water in Beijing goldfish breeding industry. In the season with less sunshine, such as winter, it can be dried in the air for a period of time, but it only needs to be dried without drying, which needs to be increased by 0.5-1 times. When the temperature of new water is close to that of old water or goldfish, it can be used. In the process of air drying, various impurities in the water can be fully precipitated and chlorine gas can be fully distributed to benefit goldfish.
The water temperature of raw water such as well water and tap water is too low. If the fish body is suddenly contacted, the scales of goldfish often turn upside down (commonly known as fried scales), thus losing the original beauty, the protection of scales on the body, and even death. The drying time can be controlled according to seasons and weather conditions. Generally, it is better to air water for 1-1.5 days in spring and summer, 2-3 days in late autumn and 3-4 days in winter. According to the specific situation, it should be flexibly mastered by the breeders.
2. Mixing water
In the artificial rearing environment, goldfish have strong adaptability to water temperature. Under the hot sun in summer, the water temperature is as high as 30 ℃, which can still withstand; in Beijing, goldfish can also survive safely in a short period of 0 ℃. However, it is difficult for goldfish to adapt to the sudden rise and fall of water temperature. The sudden change of water temperature often threatens the life of goldfish.
Therefore, enough air water must be prepared at any time for mixing or changing water. Generally, when changing or mixing water, the temperature difference between the air water and the aged water should not exceed 4 ℃ for adult fish and 2 ℃ for juvenile fish.
3. Water exchange technology for raising goldfish
In order to change the water for raising goldfish, air dried water is widely used in North and South China. The method of water exchange is generally partial exchange, and only when the water quality is extremely deteriorated can the whole water be replaced. Raising goldfish should not use raw water that has not been dried. When a large amount of raw water is suddenly injected into the goldfish basin, it is very easy to cause fish to fry scales or even die.
Even if it is the dried water, it should be slowly mixed in according to the season, climate, environmental temperature, water cleanliness, smell and oxygen content according to the needs and proportion. Do not pour and rush suddenly, so as not to hurt the fish. The key points of water exchange technology in four seasons are as follows: 1. After a long period of low temperature and lack of sunshine in winter, goldfish in early spring are weak. At this time, they start to raise in outdoor environment.
The exchange water of fish should be very careful, once a day, or once every other day as appropriate. The best amount of water to be exchanged should be about 10% of the total amount of water. At this time, the water temperature is still low, the amount of dissolved oxygen in water is large, the goldfish feed is still small, and the oxygen consumption rate of fish body is low. A small amount of exchange for air water can meet the needs of goldfish.
